Gleðigangan

Join us as some of our beloved princesses take part in the Reykjavík Pride Parade on Saturday, 8 August at 14:00!
For this special celebration, our performers are putting their own creative spin on the characters. Expect drag, crossplay, gender-swapped interpretations, fabulous costumes, glitter, and plenty of joy as we celebrate love, diversity, and self-expression alongside the LGBTQ+ community.
Many members of the Prinsessur team are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and Pride gives us an opportunity to celebrate authenticity, creativity, and inclusivity in a way that’s personal and meaningful to us. We hope you’ll come cheer us on!
⚠️ Important Disclaimer
This Pride appearance is a special, one-day celebration and does not reflect our standard character performances.
The costumes, styling, personalities, and portrayals featured during the Pride Parade are creative Pride-exclusive interpretations created by our performers for this event.
They are not representative of the professional character experiences we provide at children’s parties, public events, schools, libraries, or corporate bookings.
If you book a character through Prinsessur, you can expect:
- Screen-accurate costumes and styling.
- Family-friendly, immersive character portrayals.
- Professional performances designed specifically for children and family audiences.
Our Pride participation is simply our team celebrating a community that many of us proudly belong to, while having fun expressing ourselves through drag, crossplay, and creative reinterpretations. We kindly ask that photos and videos from the parade are viewed in that context and are not taken as an example of our regular entertainment services.
Prinsessur is committed to creating welcoming spaces for children, families, performers, and our community.
We welcome respectful discussion, but comments containing hate speech, racism, homophobia, transphobia, personal attacks, or harassment toward our performers or other community members will be removed. Repeat offenders may be blocked.
Thank you for supporting both our performers and the LGBTQ+ community. Happy Pride! 🌈
